WHO WE ARE

WHO WE ARE

Big Ox Energy is a team of dedicated and trained professionals focused on offering solutions to our food production industry customers. Our mission is to be a sustainable, scalable, and cost-competitive waste recycling provider.

Currently, food industry byproducts are not being handled cost-effectively or in an environmentally friendly way. Big Ox Energy converts industrial food and agricultural waste into clean-burning, pipeline-grade, renewable natural gas, known as “green gas.” Good for the economy, the environment, and the industries it supports, “green gas” is a renewable, domestic energy source.

BIG OX ENERGY MEETS MANY VITAL NEEDS

  1. We are an affordable disposal service for clients with organic waste.
  2. We divert hundreds of tons of wastes away from landfills.
  3. We prevent tons of greenhouse gases from entering the atmosphere.
  4. We create renewable natural gas and organic soil supplements.
  5. We take care of disposal concerns so companies stay focused on what they do best.

HOW WE DO IT

HOW WE DO IT

Methane is the primary element in natural gas, which is used to heat homes and fuel automobiles. Commonly, the source of this fuel is fossil-based. Big Ox Energy’s process, based on proven commercial technologies, takes organic waste streams and essentially speeds up Mother Nature’s process to create methane. We capture the methane and sell it as a renewable fuel.

It’s really as simple as this diagram shows:

The process provides a cost-effective and scalable solution for industrial food manufacturing and processing facilities. Big Ox Energy’s expert staff can determine, verify, and quantify the energy content, consistency, and chemical composition of any feedstock we supply, all while negotiating the best deals for both our buyers and our sellers.

WHERE WE DO IT

WHERE WE DO IT

Our proposed locations in the upper Midwest are in the center of America’s industrial-scale food manufacturing and processing. Meatpacking and processing plants, fruit and vegetable canning, cereal manufacturing, and breweries produce hundreds of tons of waste each day that create a disposal challenge. We solve that challenge!

WHO WE BENEFIT

WHO WE BENEFIT

The short answer: everyone benefits!
Natural gas produced by our facilities has a well-established commodity market, and it’s renewable, with specific demand and a limited supply. Plus, produced bio-solids can be used as animal bedding or as a soil amendment. The Big Ox Energy management team has experience running a demonstration-scale facility as well as established relationships with industry leaders giving us a direct path to feedstock sources.
